Bassist Pär Sundström expressed his excitement for the new single. "'Templars' is the first song we wrote for the upcoming album, and it truly showcases the theatrical side of SABATON," he stated.

Sundström's promise is realized in the highly cinematic music video for "Templars." The clip depicts the final stand of the Knights Templar.
